Our Facility

A spacious gym is utilized for postural re-education, gait training and bio-mechanical assessment. Cardiovascular machines, free weights, plyoballs, foam-rolls, and resistance bands are utilized to create individual programs that are easily transitioned to home exercise programs during treatment and at discharge.

We also offer individual or group plyometric, strength and multi-planar agility training.

How Are We Different?

Do You Suffer From Any of the Following?

These are just some of the common areas of pain that we successfully treat in our clinic every day. It is a common misconception that these chronic issues are caused by arthritis, age, stress or lingering injuries. Although it is true that our bodies degenerate as we age and stress often accelerates this process; all of these problems can be treated successfully and your pain can be eliminated with our comprehensive approach to Physical Therapy.

  • Recurring low back pain
  • Headaches
  • Pain and ache in the shoulders and neck
  • Temporo-mandibular dysfunction (TMJ/TMD
  • Hip/buttock pain
  • Chronic foot/heel pain
  • Knee pain
  • Wrist/elbow/hand pain

Why The Kinetic Chain Theory Works

physical therapy

We believe and follow a unique philosophy that utilizes a bio-mechanical model to analyze the movement of the body. Rather than isolating a specific body part, our approach rehabilitates the entire skeletal and neuro-muscular systems. We view the body as a linked system of interdependent segments; acknowledging that each segment is capable of producing dysfunction or wellness in the associated segments.

As an example, knee injuries are often preceded by problems above and or below the knee. For instance, hip (femoral) dysfunction frequently allows for incorrect movement at the knee joint creating sheer, torsion and compression in and around the structures of the knee. These faulty joint mechanics often result in damage to the meniscus and cartilage and/or poor tracking of the patella (Chondromalacia or Patella-Femoral Dysfunction.) Left untreated, these faulty mechanics eventually lead to degeneration and arthritis. Improving faulty joint mechanics will decrease the compression and associated pain at the knee and also slow the progressive degeneration.

This is just one example; this type of faulty patterning occurs in all areas of the body and in all age groups and fitness levels. Even the high level athlete suffers from pain and recurring injuries due to faulty joint mechanics and movement patterns. These injuries include IT Band syndrome, Shin Splints, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, recurring ankle sprains, muscle strains and many more aches and pains.

When you complete your therapy at Kinetic Chain Physical Therapy you will have completed an individualized program that was designed to address your specific problems and needs. The maintenance of your wellness program is provided through the knowledge of your improved body awareness and body mechanics and corrected posture and movement patterns.
